Fanfaren der Liebe

BR Deutschland 1951 Spielfilm

Fanfares of Love

"Fanfaren der Liebe" ("Fanfares of Love") is the German original to Billy Wilder′s famous comedy classic "Some Like It Hot". The musicians Hans and Peter, who play bass and piano, are constantly looking for work. But the only group that is looking for musicians is a ladies band. Thus, the two men dress up as women and go on a tour with the band. But soon, Hans and Peter struggle more and more to hide their masculine nature in this "bachelor′s paradise". At the same time, they also have to fend off the wanton hotel owner Hallinger.

Sequel: "Fanfaren der Ehe", 1951, by Hans Grimm
