Emily Kusche was born in 2002. Already as a child, she appeared in TV commercials and print ads. In 2011, she had a minor part in an episode of the TV show "Löwenzahn". The following year, director Alain Gsponer cast her as one of the leads in his screen adaptation of Otfried Preußler's children's book "Das kleine Gespenst" ("The Little Ghost", DE/CH 2012/13).

Kusche next starred in the coming-of-age drama "Tigermilch": She plays a Berlin middle school student who strolls with her best friend (Flora Li Thiemann) through her home district, where both becomes witnesses to a dramatic incident. She went on to play the daughter of Wotan Wilke Möhring's character in the thriller "Steig. Nicht. Aus!", directed by Christian Alvart.
