Biography

Eric Klotzsch was born on 26 March 1984 in Cologne. From 2005 he played his first roles in short films. In the same year he received the Sat.1 Talents Class Scholarship (with coach M. K. Lewis). From 2007 to 2010 he studied acting at the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen 'Konrad Wolf' in Potsdam. During his studies he took on roles in short films and guest starred in various television series. After graduating, Klotzsch appeared in numerous television productions, mostly in supporting roles. For example in the crime thriller "Marie Brand und das Lied von Tod und Liebe" (2012), in the drama "Schwestern" (2014) with Alwara Höfels, and in the award-winning "Im Schmerz geboren" (2014, as gangster son Polonius), an episode of the popular German TV crime series "Tatort". He played a leading role in the feature film "You & I" (2014), which premiered at the Hofer Filmtage.

Since 2015, Klotzsch has been starring as a regular character in the hospital series "Bettys Diagnose". In addition, he has been guest starring in a number of other series, such as "Ein Fall für zwei", "Alles Klara" and "SOKO Wismar". He had a leading role in Buket Alakus' culture clash comedy "Der Hodscha und die Piepenkötter" ("The Hodscha and the Piepenkötter", 2016), as assistant to a provincial politician who wants to prevent the construction of a mosque.

Eric Klotzsch played another leading role in the tragicomic relationship story "Liebesfilm" ("Love Film", 2018), as a daydreamer unable to make decisions, especially when his girlfriends wants to know if he would like to have children.
