Biography

Dilara Aylin Ziem was born in Berlin in 2002 to German-Turkish parents. She discovered her talent and passion for acting at a young age. By her own admission, a visit to the movie "Fünf Freunde" ("Famous Five", 2012) turned her hobby into a career: she persuaded her mother to find her an agency for young actors. While still in high school, she played a leading role in "Pippi Longstocking" and participated in a musical version of "Mother Hulda" at the Berlin Children, Youth and Family Center FEZ. After smaller roles in the educational film series "Die kleine Benimmschule" (2017), she was cast by Karoline Herfurth in a leading role in the feature film "Wunderschön" in 2019. Ziem played a slightly over-weight schoolgirl who struggles with her body in the socio-critical comedy about skewed images of women. After several postponements due to the covid pandemic, "Wunderschön" was theatrically released in February 2022.
