Anna Hornstein, born 1993 as Anna Florkowski, made her film debut in 2012 with a leading role in the student short film "Cruisen" (Director: Florian Forsch). In 2013 she completed an acting course with the theatre maker Susanne Weber in Neuss. In the same year she had guest appearances in two episodes of the children's series "Schloss Einstein". From 2015 to 2017 and still under her birth name Florkowski, she had a recurring role as a high school student in the series "Der Lehrer". During this time she also took acting training with Urme Neumann in Berlin (2016).
Anna Hornstein played her first leading role in Petra Lüschow's "Petting statt Pershing" ("That's It, Helmut", 2018), as a provincial student in 1983, who falls in love with her left-wing-alternative teacher. The film toured several festivals and was released in German cinemas in early autumn 2019.
