Summary

In 1997, 14-year-old Ahmet is sent to an Islamic boarding school at the request of his father, who recently converted. Caught between the strict rules of the "Yurt," the tough environment created by his peers, and the contrasting daily life at his secular school, Ahmet feels increasingly torn. Wanting not to disappoint his father, he tries to adapt—but the pressure proves overwhelming. He finds support in Hakan, a sharp-witted boy who knows how to navigate the boarding school. Together, they look for ways to carve out moments of freedom and dream of taking control of their own lives.
