The film portrays how a childhood friendship grows into love. After not seeing each other for quite some time, 15-year-old Robbi and 14-year-old Karoline meet again in a summer camp and eventually fall in love. The camp counselors object to their blossoming romance, and only group leader Benedikt has sympathy for them. When the camp rehearses "Romeo and Juliet" to be performed at the farewell party, Robbi and Karoline are cast as the leads. By working on the classic, romantic drama, the two learn more about their own feelings.
