Leipzig in the Fall

Starting with the Monday demonstrations in Leipzig in October 1989, the documentary as part of Voigt's ′Leipzig Series′ describes the social upheaval in the GDR immediately before the fall of the Wall. In interviews, protesters, workers, representatives of the civic movement ′Neues Forum′, theologians, People's Police officers and their superiors, prisoners and state officials express their views on the events of those days. In this context, the violent attacks by the security forces and the Leipzig police are also reconstructed.
