Hans Schiller is 40 years old and works as a writer. After several failures, he finally makes his breakthrough and gets rich quick. To celebrate his success, he invites his friends Helene and Tom to his new country house. As students, they all had been living as independent and unsuccessful bohemians. But the party that includes drinking coffee, swimming, and campfire romanticism soon gets out of control – jealousies and envy escalate the situation.
