The Uprising
In his feature film in documentary style, director Peter Lilienthal tries to trace the insurgence of the Sandinistas against the dictatorial regime of Somoza in Nicaragua in 1979. By way of the example of a family the film points out how the tensions between the insurgents and the Somoza regime were carried as far as into the relationships between single family members.
