Summary
"Comandante Fritz" tells the story of a young Stasi officer, Fritz, who is sent to Havana to oversee the official handover of "Isla Ernesto Thälmann". The island off the Cuban coast is a gift from Fidel Castro to the German Democratic Republic (GDR): a sign of the close friendship between the "socialist brother" states during the Cold War. Fritz‘s mission is to thwart a possible CIA attack on the Máximo Líder during the handover. But his mission does not go according to plan, and when he meets a mysterious Cuban woman Lola, the Cold War quickly hots up for Fritz...
