Ulrike Grote studied Acting from 1985-1989 in Hamburg. She performed as an actress at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg and in numerous television series and films. Since 2000, she has been instructing at the Academy of Music & Theater in Hamburg. From 2002-2004, she completed post-graduate studies in Film at Hamburg University. Her Film "Ausreißer" ("The Runaway") was also nominated for an Academy Award in 2006 in the category "Short Film - Live Action".
