Summary
A documentary in 14 chapters which cover the festival "Theater der Welt 1981" in Cologne. The first chapter shows a reception for the festival guests, the others introduce some of the prominent theatre groups, like "Squat Theatre", New York; Magazzini criminali", Florence; "Kipper Kids", California or "Pina-Bausch-Tanzgruppe", Wuppertal. On the soundtrack, Fassbinder reads texts from Artaud′s book "Das Theater und sein Double".
