Straight Shooter
Germany 1998. Former Foreign Legionnaire Volker Bretz has gone on the rampage. His victims: leading industrialists in the nuclear industry and prominent politicians. He holds them responsible for the death of his little daughter from cancer because he believes that the controversial nuclear plant ATAR II was the reason for the fatal illness.
He had first asked, then implored and finally warned the atom lobby to shut the nuclear power stations down. He once more assumes his battle name - Straight Shooter - from the Foreign Legion. Shooter is always able to escape the police′s clutches because he was specially trained for fighting behind the lines. He now uses this knowledge for his deadly attacks. Frank Hector, Shooter′s former trainer at the Legion, is brought in to give assistance. The police and the politicians plan to neutralize Shooter with his help. At the same time, they draw an image of left-wing terrorism for the public. Hector is forced to make a distinction between his loyalties to the young man he once trained and to the society and authorities, and to his fellow men. He is joined at his side by Helga Toelle, a young careerist public prosecutor. She has a son who is the same age as Shooter′s daughter had been....
