Due to his reckless behaviour, Salomon ‘Sally’ Pinkus is suspended from school. He starts to work as an apprentice in a shoe shop, where he spends most of the time flirting with his employer’s daughter and the female customers. After much cavorting, he successfully woos a lady, who is not only willing to finance his own business, but also becomes his wife.
