Synopsis
Film version of the Theo Lingen′s play by the same name. The film tells the story of a dutiful body servant who is badly treated by his aristocratic employers and by his wife alike. Finally, he more or less involuntarily tries out other jobs – but to no avail. In the end, he returns to his "vocation" as a body servant and finds luck with his job and his private life. In the film, Theo Lingen stars in a double role: He plays servant Johann as well as his employer.
