Towerblock

Twelve-year-old Daniel lives on a high-rise estate with Patrick, his elder brother. Patrick abducts pets so that he can earn the reward for returning them to their owners. He also sends Daniel out onto the staircases of the estate to collect money for "the poor children in Africa". Suffering increasingly at the hands of his domineering brother, Daniel believes he has found a friend when he meets a junkie living in the neighbourhood.
