Ariane Mayer was born in 1977 in Munich and studied Visual Communication and Filmmaking at the Offenbach School of Arts and Design. She works as a freelance director, DoP, and gaffer for commercial, television, and cinema productions. Musca (2005) is her first film. She is currently working on the shorts Marie-Sophie and Pia Ahoi!.
