Thomas Gerhold was born in 1977 in Marburg and has been studying Media Arts at the Bauhaus University in Weimar since 1998. In 2000, he founded the production company Kaliber16 together with Marcel Lenz and Markus Wambsganss. A selection of his films includes the shorts: "Schreien hilft" (1998), "Zimmer frei Deutschland" (1999), "Kaiserschnitt" (2002), and "Neon Eyes" (2003).
