Dirk Szuszies was born in 1956 and studied Education and Sociology, followed by Acting in Bologna/Italy. After performing in numerous theater companies, began directing documentaries in 1999. His films include: "Die letzte Mahadevi" (2000), "Resist!" (2003), "Little Mysteries" (2003), "Dialoge 99/II" (2004), "Public Playgrounds" (2005), "Unknown Elements From The Orbit" (2007), "Another Glorious Day" (2009), "But Life Goes On" (2010), and "Berlin East Side Gallery" (2015).
