Johannes Hebendanz was born in Muenster in 1960 and trained as a photographer in Berlin from 1980-1982. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg from 1986-1990 and has since worked as a director, author and assistant director for advertising and television productions. His films include: "Der Ausflug" (short, 1990), "Flickering Roads" ("Asphaltflimmern", 1994), and "Mein Freund, der Bulle" (TV, 1999).
