Der Trip

Deutschland 1995 Spielfilm

The Trip

Dieter is feeling really cool! He is in his mid-20s and still lets himself be spoiled by his late-hippy parents. At the same time, Dieter is working on a cross between techno sound and telephone sex and earning a bit of cash as a "sing-o-gramm" with German pop hits.

But our Dieter doesn′t really know what real stress is: for he is still a virgin. That is in danger of changing when Dieter bumps into Petra. She is supposed to be marrying some nouveau riche soon, but, first of all, wants to let rip just one last time. When she kisses Dieter passionately during a mega rave, this attack is too much for him: he is catapulted out of her arms, back into the 70′s, Dieter on a trip. Flower power hippies, bell-bottom trousers, People′s Police at the border crossing, chicks in leather, would-be revolutionaries and, in the midst of all that zeitgeist - Petra! Dieter sets off strumming his songs to win the hand of his dream woman - until he eventually gets on a trip back into the present with her. And then there starts a chaotic countdown to happiness for Petra ...
