Berlin Rhapsody
The documentary is a contemporary cinematic homage to modern Berlin, inspired by Walter Ruttmann's 1927 classic "Berlin, Symphony of a City". Without spoken dialogue, it follows the rhythm of the city over the course of a single day. The camera captures scenes of everyday life: e-scooters, subways during rush hour, bike couriers navigating traffic, and people spending time in parks. From digital billboards and smartphones to high-rises, trailer parks, start-ups, pubs, and demonstrations, the film presents a wide range of urban impressions. These are assembled in a mix of rapid and more contemplative sequences, offering a portrait of Berlin nearly a century after Ruttmann’s original work.
