Born in 2011, Max Zheng, at the age of 12, came across an open casting call for the children's film "Der Prank – April, April!" ("Prank"). On a whim, he decided to audition—and was cast in a leading role by director Benjamin Heisenberg. In the film, he plays a Chinese exchange student who embarks on a thrilling adventure with his German host. The film was released in German cinemas in March 2025.
