November Fog

17-year-old Paula lives on a farm with her mother, Heike. Her father, Rafael, has been in a coma for five months. Paula doesn't talk about his situation; instead, she convinces herself that everything can go back to how it was before and that her dad will return if only the farm is running well.

When Heike reveals to her daughter that they have to sell the farm, Paula fights to keep it, hoping to thereby save her father. However, while Paula stubbornly tackles the farm work, Rafael's health continues to deteriorate. In response, Paula shuts out everything except the work and also blocks out her mother, who is grappling with the critical situation.
