The twins Cosmo and Carmen return to their former childhood home for the first time in 15 years. While Carmen, a therapist, attempts to come to grips with her childhood traumas, her efforts are met with resistance by her brother, who has brought his new girlfriend Marie along.

Having secretly watched the couple’s unsuccessful attempt at sex, Carmen suggests a couples’ counceling to Marie. However, due to their inability to speak openly with each other plus the arrival of a mysterious new house resident, Heins, fateful events are set in motion that cross boundaries and reopen old wounds...
