Victim
Ukrainian Irina lives with her 13-year-old son Igor in a small Czech town, where she works as a cleaner and hopes to become a citizen soon. One night, Igor is found with a head injury and can barely speak. Suspicion falls on three Roma boys from the same block. The alleged act of violence unleashes an avalanche of prejudice and xenophobia that mother and son can barely escape. At the same time, Irina receives much support from right-wing populist local politicians and angry citizens, including financial, which brings her closer to her dream of owning a hair salon. As Igor regains his senses and tells his mother that it was only a fall, Irina faces a moral dilemma.
