Katharina Hirschberg was born in Jerusalem, Israel, in 2001 and grew up in Bayreuth, Germany. In 2018, while still a high school student, she happened to see a casting call for the Amazon-produced series "Bibi & Tina - Die Serie". Hirschberg participated and was cast in the lead role of the little witch Bibi Blocksberg. The role of her best friend Tina was given to Harriet Herbig-Matten. The series, developed by renowned director Detlev Buck, was broadcast in spring 2020. In the summer of 2021, the team made a feature film based on the series under Buck's direction: "Bibi & Tina - Einfach anders" ("Bibi and Tina - Just Different"), the fifth Bibi & Tina feature film, opened in German theaters in July 2022. Also in 2022, Hirschberg appeared in a smaller role in the TV crime drama "Der Kommissar und der See – Liebeswahn".
