Igor Levit - No Fear

Documentary film about the pianist Igor Levit. In the often dignified universe of classical music, the highly gifted pianist in his mid-thirties occupies a special position: he is eccentric and, above all, controversial, because he wants to do more than "just" play music. His concerts are considered extraordinarily intense, and time and again the son of Jewish immigrants of Russian descent also speaks out on social and political issues. For example, he made a celebrated recording of all the Beethoven sonatas, but also performed in the freezing cold in the Dannenröder Forest to protest against its clearing. The film accompanies Levit, with the aim of drawing a portrait of the man and musician.
