The Night of All Nights

Documentary about four couples from three continents, each of them being together for more than fifty years. An Indian couple who defied the strict caste system of their homeland with their romance; a couple from the Ruhr area who has been together since the post-war years, two gay American men who had to wait for decades to get officially married; a Japanese couple who was initially forced into marriage, but eventually fell in love over the years. They all look back on their relationships and relate how they stayed together despite hardships and conflicts.
