In 1962, the children Rüdiger and Aki arrived alongside 500 more German sectarians in Chile. For 40 years, they lived totally isolated from the outside world in the Colonia Dignidad. Under the perverted, authoritarian and downright criminal regime of the sect′s leader, a fanatic microcosm of devoted followers developed. After the sect′s collapse, perpetrators and victims continue to live door to door while trying to sustain the community.
