Biography

Matthias Zuber was born in 1965. In 1988, he graduated from journalism school, and one year later, founded the polyeides medienkontor. He continued to work as a freelance author and journalist for TV, radio and print. He wrote for publications like "Stern", "Die Zeit" and "Süddeutsche Zeitung"; made features for radio stations DeutschlandRadio, SWR and WDR, and worked as author, director, DoP, editor and producer for public TV networks. In 2000, Zuber co-wrote the documentary "A Woman And A Half - Hildegard Knef", which was nominated for the German Film Prize.
In 2009, he made his feature film debut as director with the documentary "Deutsche Seelen - Leben nach der Colonia Dignidad", co- directed by Martin Farkas.
