Petty criminal Hotte has no interest in kids, not even his very own. But when he gets custody of Jenny and Dennis after the demise of their grandmother, Hotte is eager to collect the child support cheques and moves in with the children. Yet his probation officer Benno doesn't approve of this at all. Benno himself has problems with his girlfriend Tanja as their relationship has remained childless so far and thus he tries to thwart Hotte's efforts to establish a normal family life. To top it off, Jenny falls in love with a wannabe crook who wins Hotte over for a foolproof deal. When the deal goes wrong Benno finally sees his chance to get Hotte back behind bars and even pocket the booty himself. Yet he, too, has reckoned without his host.
