Werckmeister Harmonies
A traveling circus comes to a small Hungarian town in winter. Its main attractions are a stuffed whale and a mysterious "Prince". Even before the circus's arrival, rumors are spreading that it has caused chaos at previous stops. Accompanied by a huge crowd of men from surrounding villages, the circus arrives at the small town's marketplace. The local authorities fear a threat to their order, as the crowd falls for the Princes' inflammatory words and a blind rage is unleashed on the population of the small town. The violence can only be stopped with the help of a military command.
