Biography

Thomas Grube was born in 1971 in Berlin. After studying Political Science and Eastern European Studies, he studied Film at the "Konrad Wolf" Academy of Film & Television (HFF/B) in Potsdam-Babelsberg. In 1993, he founded Memphis Productions and produced and directed shorts films and documentaries. In 1997, together with Uwe Dierks, he founded the directors" label grube&dierks. In 1999, he co-founded Boomtown Media. A selection of his films includes: "Love is the Message" (1995), "Life in a Soap Opera" (1999/2000), "Jewish Museum Berlin" (2000), "Karl Weschke - Myth of a Life" (2000), Warsaw Express" (2000), "Verdi"s Falstaff" (2001), and "Rhythm Is It!" (2004).
