Biography

Oliver Herrmann was born in 1963 in Bremen and died in 2003 in Berlin. He studied in Berlin, New York and Havana. In the early 1980s, he worked as a theater photographer. In 1988, he began working as an assistant director and film editor and contributed to such periodicals as Zeit Magazin, Theater Heute, Der Stern, Vogue, Harper"s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Elle and Marie Claire. In 1998, he founded, together with Robert Zimmermann, Eins54 Film, a production company specializing in films about classical music. His films include: "Acht Fragen" (short, 1996), "Ombra Felice" (TV, 1999), "One Night, One Life" (TV, 2000), "Dichterliebe" (TV, 2001), "Odon von Horvath - zum 100. Geburtstag" (TV, 2002) and "Le Sacre du Printemps" (short, 2003).
