Biography

Marlene Burow, born in 2000, made her TV debut in 2019 with a leading role as a teenage mother in the episode "Baby an Bord" from the series "Die Drei von der Müllabfuhr". This was followed by episode lead roles in the series "SOKO Wismar," "Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei" and "Notruf Hafenkante." In the series "Fritzie - Der Himmel muss warten," about a teacher suffering from breast cancer, she had a recurring role as a student in 2020/21.

Burow made her feature film debut with a supporting role in the youth drama "Albträumer" ("Dark Dreamers", 2020), followed by a smaller supporting role in the comedy "Wunderschön" (2020), which was not released until 2022 after the end of the Corona restrictions. In between, Burow was part of the cast of the third season of the youth series "Wir sind jetzt" (2021).

Marlene Burow played her first leading role in a feature film in Aelrun Goette's autobiographically influenced "In einem Land, das es nicht mehr gibt" ("In a Land That No Longer Exists", 2022), for which she had already participated in a first casting in 2019. In it, she played a young woman who becomes a star model on the GDR fashion scene in 1989, shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall. The film was released in the fall of 2022. Burow had already been in front of the camera for Emily Atef's novel adaptation "Irgendwann werden wir uns alles erzählen" ("One Day We'll Tell Each Other Everything", start: 2023), about the tragic love between an 18-year-old farmer's daughter in the GDR of the summer of 1990 and a solitary, significantly older neighbor.
