Biography
Director and project initiator Linda Verweyen completed her Bachelor’s degree in "Expressive Arts in Social Transformation" specialising on the societal and individual relevance of film production and reception. She is currently part of the Film Directing Master’s programme at the FH Dortmund and focuses on participatory film production, the docu-fictional format and social transformation processes through film. Her films have been screened at International film festivals and won numerous awards. Among them are the "Social Justice Award" at the Charlotte Film Festival in the USA and the "Female Gaze Honorable Mention" at the International Women's Film Festival Dortmund-Köln.
