Biography
Born in Nordhausen in Thuringia on 16.2.1980, he grew up in Leipzig where he appeared at the Schauspielhaus theatre as a young man and performed in youth theatre groups. A pianist and drummer, he has composed for the stage and Tanztheater. He trained as a film and video editor and junior colourist in Berlin, Leipzig and Halle from 1999-2002 and began working as an assistant director and independent filmmaker in 2003. In 2005 he took up studies in directing at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy.
