Biography

Christopher Roth was born and raised in Munich, and studied at Munich"s Academy of Television & Film (HFF/M) from 1983-1989. He is the author of the book 220D, published by Belleville and was editor-in-chief of the magazine Elaste from 1984-1986. He has edited films by Andy Engel, Klaus Lemke, Isaac Julien and Amadu Seck. As an artist, he has had exhibitions with Franz Stauffenberg in Berlin, Zurich, Rio and New York and participated in the Sao Paulo Biennale in 1991, the Venice Biennale in 1993 and the Berlin Biennale in 2001. His films include the shorts "Happier Days" and "Hawaii "96", over 100 advertising spots, "Looosers" (1995), "Candy" (TV, 1998) and "Baader" (2002).
