Biography

Celeste Cid was born in Buenos Aires on January 19, 1984. From age thirteen on, she regularly worked as an actress in numerous Argentinean TV series. In 2002, she received the TV award "INTE" for New Talent of the Year for her performance in the series "Enamorarte. She made her feature film debut in 2008, starring in the romantic comedy "Motivos para no enamorarse". In 2011, she was cast by director Jeanine Meerapfel in the drama "Der deutsche Freund" ("My German Friend"). Set in 1950s Argentina, Cid plays a daughter of Jewish immigrants, who falls in love with the son of a Nazi criminal. The film was released in Germany in November 2012.
