Biography

Anton von Heiseler, born 1994 in Berlin, studied philosophy at the Technical University of Berlin. He went on to study art and media at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), where he was a member of Thomas Arslan's narrative film class. In 2018, he began his directing studies at the Film University Babelsberg 'Konrad Wolf'. As part of his studies, he realized several short films that were shown at international festivals. His short film "Mountain & Maiden" (IN) was awarded Best Documentary at the L.A. Shorts International Film Festival. Also during his studies, Anton von Heiseler made his feature film debut with "153 Meter" ("502 Feet"), a mixture of social drama and character study, in wich his mother Michaela Caspar, his twin sister Antonia von Heiseler and his grandmother Maria Luise Preuss played the leading roles.
