Summary
A loose French remake of the German film “Der brave Sünder” (1931). Pelepan, a real estate agent from Toulouse, is developing a hair growth remedy on the side, but it has the opposite effect. To avoid a lawsuit, he must deposit a large sum of embezzled money with a notary. To do so, he sends two of his employees—the overly proper Alsatian accountant Henry Schmidt and the sly cashier Charles Migue—to Paris. At first, the two believe they are on a perfectly normal business trip. Soon, however, they run into trouble because they cannot explain why they are carrying so much cash. When they botch the handover of the money, it becomes clear to them that they have been drawn into criminal activities. Together, they now set out to get their hands on the money themselves and put a stop to the criminals’ schemes.
