This is uncut footage with original sound (not chronological, different camera perspectives) documenting the founding event of the Foundation for the Sorbian People / Załožba za serbski lud on October 19, 1991 in the church in Lohsa.

The first 50 seconds show the consecration of the Catholic chapel in Doberschütz/Dobrošicy (municipality of Neschwitz, parish of Crostwitz) on October 19, 1991. These sequences do not belong to the title-giving foundation meeting!

They show the signing of the foundation charter at a table in the chancel by Franz Kroppenstedt, State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Kurt Biedenkopf, Prime Minister of the Free State of Saxony and Manfred Stolpe, Prime Minister of the State of Brandenburg.

It can be seen and heard the welcome by the Lohsa pastor and the mayor, as well as the speeches of Kurt Biedenkopf, Manfred Stolpe, Angela Merkel, Federal Minister for Women and Youth representing the Federal Minister of the Interior Wolfgang Schäuble, and Jurij Koch, Deputy Chairman of Domowina and Jan Pawoł Nagel, Chairman of Domowina.

Accompanying shots of the audience inside and outside the church, the arrival of politicians, the singing of the Sorbian and German anthem, the interior of the church and the like.
