Summary

Nights, Gambled Away

After her father′s unexpected death and the separation from her boyfriend, Maria, a 24-year-old Greek girl, sets off for Berlin where her older sister Helena lives and works as a successful dancer. The two sisters haven′t seen each other for several years.

 

It is not long before Maria finds out Helena′s secret which also explains the strange way she behaves towards Maria. Helena has given up dancing and now works as a croupier in an illegal gambling club in Berlin. Maria has to recover from her first shock, the idealised image of the older sister crumbles...
