Summary
Never Alone
At the outbreak of the Second World War, Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany reach Finland, hoping to find safety. But Finland's alliance with Nazi Germany quickly makes their situation even more perilous. In Helsinki, Abraham Stiller, a respected and central voice in the Jewish community, strives to support the refugees and ease their fears. The situation escalates when the authorities transfer them to camps in the north—placing them in close proximity to German troops. Stiller turns to Arno Anthoni, the new head of the state police, for help, only to receive a warning that endangers the entire Jewish community in Finland. Caught between political pressure and moral responsibility, Stiller must find a way to protect the people entrusted to his care from further danger.
