Morgen war Krieg

Summary

Echo of Tomorrow's War

In the near future, the European Union has collapsed, a right-wing populist government has come to power in Germany, and war is looming. Jonas, who has known a life of safety and prosperity, evades the draft by deserting and seeks refuge with his father, Stuber, whom he has not seen since childhood. The already strained relationship between father and son worsens when Jonas promises to help a stranger on the run – a decision his father opposes, unwilling to put his own safety at risk. The conflict escalates, culminating in a catastrophic event for which Jonas bears responsibility – before the war has even begun.
