Summary
In the border region between Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkey, archaeologist Veska is working on excavations in an area shaped by political tension and illegal trade. When she unexpectedly reconnects with Saïd, an acquaintance from her past, she becomes drawn into a risky operation involving the smuggling of fuel. When Saïd suddenly disappears, Veska and several women close to her take control of the abandoned cargo. In doing so, they find themselves in direct conflict with rival criminal groups operating in the region. As the situation escalates and competing power interests collide, Veska is also forced to confront long-suppressed memories - and her own desires - that begin to surface with increasing urgency.
