Crocodile Tears
Young Johan lives with his mother on a remote crocodile farm in West Java, where their isolated routine cuts them off almost completely from the outside world. While Johan carries out the daily work, his mother—who seems more at ease among the predators than among people—keeps a tight grip on his life, making decisions that leave him little room to grow on his own. Their bond is close, but shaped by dependence and a form of care that has turned toxic. When a young woman enters Johan’s life, the fragile balance of intimacy, power, and control begins to unravel.
