Berlin Open Bracket East Close Bracket
A cinematic tour of East Berlin. Museum Island and Gendarmenmarkt square. Parades on Unter den Linden and workers during a lunch break. New construction in Lichtenberg and the Scheunenviertel re-development district. The "young talent" group of painters and "high-ranking functionaries" in Wolga limousines. The many contrasting impressions in the film are accompanied only by the at times idyllic, at times martial music of a jazz duo.
